Mandatory Upper Division Evaluation Information!

Every year Birmingham Little League conducts player evaluations for its "Upper Divisions" which consist of A Minors (player pitch), AAA Association, Majors and Juniors. This year's Evaluations will take place at Derby Middle School on Sunday March 1 and Sunday March 8. Players should attend ONLY ONE evaluation session and should wear sneakers (no cleats allowed as we are on the gym floor) and bring their glove (we provide bats). We conduct evaluations on a drop-in basis but assign a specific block of time for each division as follows:

A Minors (Player Pitch) = 11:00AM–12:00PM
AAA Association = 12:00–1:30PM
Majors = 1:30–2:30PM
Juniors = 2:30 – 3:00PM 

If you are unsure which division your player is in, please refer to the confirmation email you received when you registered or log back into your account - the division is indicated in both places.

The evaluation is NOT A TRYOUT and the process itself is low key – coaches take the opportunity to observe each player fielding ground balls and pop flies, pitching into a net and hitting off a tee and then utilize the information to conduct their player drafts later in the month. Everyone gets drafted onto a team but this endeavor supports BLL's objective of creating competitive balance among teams in each division.
